The Caribbean Elite Group is proud to announce the first wave of honorees for the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards, recognizing iconic figures whose artistry and influence have helped shape the vibrant landscape of Caribbean music.

Leading the list is dancehall legend Bounty Killer, who will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for his transformative contributions to global dancehall culture. A true pioneer and powerhouse, Bounty Killer’s impact spans generations, and fans can look forward to his long-awaited return to the U.S. stage—his first in fifteen years—on July 5 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn as part of the Reggae Fest concert series.

Also being honored is Austin "Super Blue" Lyons, the visionary artist behind the globally embraced "jump and wave" soca movement, ignited by his 1991 anthem “Get Something and Wave.” His enduring influence on carnival culture will be celebrated with the esteemed Calypso Honors award.

Kerwin Du Bois, known for his exceptional versatility as both a producer and composer, will be recognized with a Producer Honor, celebrating his profound contributions and creative genius in shaping the sound of contemporary Caribbean music.

The third annual Caribbean Music Awards, affectionately known as “Caribbean Music’s Biggest Night,” will be held at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, on August 28, 2025. General admission tickets are now on sale via the Kings Theatre website.

This year’s awards spotlight over 200 nominees across more than 40 categories, showcasing the rich diversity and talent across the region. Voting concluded last month with a record-breaking 73% increase in participation, a testament to the event’s growing influence and passionate fan base.

Topping the nominations are Masicka and Shenseea, each with seven nods, followed closely by Patrice Roberts and Kes with six nominations each. Heavy-hitters such as Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton, Nailah Blackman, Chronic Law, and Kranium also earned significant recognition, each securing five nominations.

As anticipation builds, the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards promises a powerful celebration of legacy, excellence, and the ever-evolving heartbeat of Caribbean music.
